How to Register With or Without ORCID

You may create an account directly in the journal or connect your ORCID iD. Both routes end by completing the OJS registration form.

Two options

Choose How to Register

  • Without ORCID: complete all fields directly in the form.
  • With ORCID: authenticate and authorize your ORCID iD before finishing the form.
  • Use an active email address that you can access.
  • Create a secure password and do not share it.

Select “Register” at the top of the website.

If you do not have an ORCID iD

Do not select “Create or Connect your ORCID iD.” Complete the given name, family name, affiliation, country, email, username, and password fields directly.

If you already have or want an ORCID iD

Select “Create or Connect your ORCID iD” and continue to step 2.

  1. On ORCID, enter your email or 16-digit ORCID iD and password.
  2. If you do not have an ORCID iD, select “Register now” and create one.
  3. Verify that the authorization is for Revista Especialidad Médica.
  4. Select “Authorize access” so OJS can retrieve your ORCID iD.
  5. You will return to the journal’s registration form to complete the remaining fields.

3FinishComplete the Profile and Create Your Account
Profile
Enter your given name, family name, institutional affiliation, and country.
Login
Enter your email, choose a username, and type the same password twice.
Privacy
Read the statement and provide the required consent for data collection and storage.
Notifications
Notifications about new publications and announcements are optional.
Reviewer role
Request it only if you wish to evaluate manuscripts. Add specific reviewing interests that reflect your expertise.
  1. Complete the “I’m not a robot” reCAPTCHA.
  2. Review the information and select “Register.”
  3. Keep your username and check your email in case account confirmation is required.
