Guide for Authors
How to Make a Submission
Follow these steps to register your manuscript correctly in OJS. You can save your submission and return to it later before sending it to the editorial team.
Before You Begin
Have These Materials Ready
- Final manuscript file.
- Originality statement and cover letter.
- Tables, figures, and supplementary files.
- Details for all authors: affiliation, ORCID, ROR, and CRediT contributions.
- Title, abstract, and keywords in the requested languages.
- Funding and data availability information.

2Before You BeginPrepare and Start Your Submission
- Read the Submission Guidelines.
- Select the manuscript’s primary language.
- Enter the full title without author names or affiliations.
- Choose the appropriate section: original article, narrative review, special article, case report, clinical guideline, editorial, letter to the editor, brief communication, or another available category.
- Confirm the submission checklist and accept the privacy statement.
- Pulsa “Start a Submission”.
3OJS Step 1Enter the Manuscript Details
- Title
- It must match the manuscript and must not include author names, academic degrees, or affiliations.
- Keywords
- Use specific scientific terms, preferably from standardized vocabularies.
- Abstract
- Paste the complete abstract and verify that it matches the main manuscript file.
- References
- Enter each reference on a new line so OJS can process them separately.
4OJS Step 2Upload All Files
Select “Add File”, choose the document, and identify its type correctly. Repeat the process for:
- Manuscript text: the final version prepared according to the Submission Guidelines.
- Originality statement: a declaration confirming originality and exclusive submission.
- Cover letter: a brief letter addressed to the editorial team.
- Supplementary files: tables, figures, images, datasets, instruments, consent forms, or permissions, when applicable.
5OJS Step 3Register Authors and Contributors
Add every participant individually and verify:
- First name, last name, email address, and country.
- A standardized institutional affiliation and, when available, its ROR identifier.
- The contributor’s personal ORCID identifier.
- Contributions according to CRediT: conceptualization, methodology, investigation, analysis, writing, review, supervision, or other applicable roles.
- Corresponding author and correct author order.
6OJS Step 4Provide Information for the Editors
- Language
- Enter the appropriate code, for example,
en,es,en-US, ores-MX. - Supporting Agencies
- Enter the funder’s official name and, when applicable, the program and grant number.
- Data Availability
- Indicate where the data can be accessed, whether they are available upon reasonable request, or whether ethical restrictions apply.
- Comments for the Editor
- Include relevant information about permissions, ethics, conflicts of interest, preprints, or special circumstances. Do not repeat the abstract or cover letter.
7OJS Step 5Review and Submit
Check the title, abstract, keywords, files, authors, ORCID identifiers, affiliations, ROR identifiers, CRediT contributions, funding, data availability, and comments for the editor.
- Select “Edit” if you find an error.
- Avoid leaving important fields as “None provided.”
- Scroll to the bottom and select “Submit”.
- Read the notice and confirm the submission.
- Keep the confirmation email and submission number.

Ready to Submit?
Go to the platform and begin registering your manuscript.
